ITS A GIRL!!!

Well, yesterday Jim and I went to my 5 months ultrasound and found out that we are having a little girl!! A girl?? I am shocked!! I was convinced I would be a mom of all boys. We are pretty excited for this new adventure. I am not sure who had the best reaction...it might have been a tie between Jim's mom ( a mother of three boys) and my sister Karley (a mother of two boys). Karley keeps telling me that her one little girl Ellie is so excited, but I think it is really Karley that is excited. I will need her help. It is nice that Max can remain my little man and so lucky that he has two boy cousins who are practically brothers to grow up with. Bring on the pink!! Cannot wait to decorate her room!!

3 Months and counting....

Well...I have made it past the first trimester and I am feeling pretty good now. Most of the sick feeling is gone and I am waiting any day now to get my "energy" back. My tummy is definetly starting to bulge and I am getting excited for the next ultrasound. Only 8 more weeks and we can find out what we are having!! I am convinced it is another boy (which would be awesome), while Jim is guessing it is a girl. We will see!! Either way...we are so excited to add to our family. I am getting rest whenever I can, but with Max running around...that is hard.

Max is doing great and we just continue to be amazed with him. He started his first class yesterday and enjoyed running around with all the other one year olds. His favortie activities are still playing in the dirt, throwing or kicking any ball and chasing Porter around. He gives the best hugs and kisses and is still a little cuddle bunny, which of course Mom loves. His favorite word is either truck or bus and yesterday we rode the Max train down to see daddy and man...did he think that was cool. He is so into reading, which is I think in thanks to both of his grandmas....we literally have to hide certain books or are doomed to read them 100 times a day.

Keeping busy and feeling great. Love to everyone!!

The Nausea Sets In...

So when I was pregnant with Max....I felt great. I never really got sick and enjoyed being pregnant so much. I am not sure what has happened to me, but I am sick as a dog. I feel for Karley, as she was so sick with all THREE of her kids. I guess I should be thankful that 1) I was not sick with Max and 2) that I am already 8 weeks, so hopefully only have a month of dry heaving left.

Another tip to all of those out there that are thinking of getting pregnant. If this is your first...take my advice and sleep, sleep, sleep. If this is your second....sleep whenever you can. As soon as I put Max down for a nap...I try to close my eyes. It takes me only about 5 seconds to fall asleep and when I wake up to Max yelling at me to come and get him (okay he cannot really talk yet, but I assume that is what he is trying to convey) I feel like I am going to die I am so tired.

Other than that....life is great!! I feel so lucky to be pregnant again and am getting so excited for the arrival of another baby!! I see little babies on the street and cannot wait to get my hands on one! Max has no idea and probably will not, so I am trying hard to spend as much time as I can with him now. He is just the love of our lives and even when I am bent over dryheaving...he smiles and I remember it is all worth it!!

Exciting News!!

So...last Wednesday I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. I was a little bummed out, but since it was the first month we had really starting trying, was not worried about it. Another day went by and still nothing....so I decided to take another one. There was the faintest line I had every seen. So faint that I thought I might be imagining it. I decided to go the store and throw down $20 for a digital test that would say clearly Pregnant or Not Pregnant. Fully expecting the second, I was shocked when Pregnant popped up on the screen. So...after telling Jim it was a no go....when he got home from work on Thursday...I surprised him with the news. He was really excited.

We are really excited to have a new addition to the family. I would be thrilled to have another boy and a brother for Max. However....I know there are a few people out there hoping for a girl. Either way....we are excited. More to come!!

Max's First Birthday!!

It is hard to believe that an entire year has already gone by!! Max has grown up so fast. I am sure that any of you that have kids realize that you never get this time back. He is so much fun and I am really trying to treasure every single day. He loved his cake and eats just about anything sweet. He is walking and starting to talk and loves playing with his best buddy "Porter" our dog. Jim and I feel so blessed.
